For first time cleans, we almost never use a water fed pole. This is because pure water won't remove things like paint silicone and really tough film. To get the best results we may have to use a razor and 0000 steel wool by hand. There's no better way to clean "nose to glass" with laser attention to detail.  For clients on maintenance program, we clean the windows frequently enough so the water fed pole works just as good if not better.
